Palm Beach Nitro Jam made Saturday night as noisey as possible. A slew of funny cars and dragsters made sure they were heard at the Palm Beach International Raceway. Who knew that putting a jet engine on a car would be a good idea?

Jazz on the Avenue is back and in full swing. Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach shut down for a giant street party Thursday, Jan. 27. There was a local jazz band playing on every street corner, Elvis could be seen at Johnny Rockets, the gecko from Geico was hanging out in front of the Geico racing boat and even CarsAsArt.org brought a few of their classic cars and bikes out for display.

Mauricio, the one you would see standing outside of Propaganda making friends and talking music, celebrated his twenty-something birthday with quite the bash at Propaganda. The Heavy Boots, Spred The Dub, Dick Knuckle, Radio Boxer and Everymen came out to wish him the best birthday a music fan could want.

The Art Nouveau event at the Lounge in West Palm on Wednesday, Jan. 19, had an amazing turnout due in part to the Steam Punk theme.
Not only did the usual artists selling their work have tons of steampunk inspired pieces but the people attending the show were decked out in goggles, vests, gears and chains, top hats, and everything else to create amazing outfits.

Propaganda has done it again. DJ Milly and right hand girl DJ Fern E have taken over Thursday nights. Sapphic Thursdays is Propaganda's (and maybe Lake Worths) first Lesbian night. All who are gay and straight are invited to enjoy the good music and aborted fetus shots (which were rather tasty).

Bastardos Magnificos and The Darling Sweets took over Dada's on Atlantic Ave On Saturday Jan. 8.
On this night, the line-up changed and the Lake Worth locals, The Darling Sweets, took headlining position. Guests who were a little late to the show convinced the dou to do an encore of songs already preformed earlier in the night.

Metal bands Bartholen, Kinlin and Bladesong made it an epic sounding night at Propaganda in Lake Worth on Friday, Jan. 7.
Bartholen was a young duo whose songs were fast, short and incoherent. Headliner Kinlin actually played before Bladesong, who didn't come on stage till midnight.
A small but enthusiastic group of Bladesong fans stuck around for the late set to witness a unique blend of metal guitar riffs, orchestra back tracks and theatrical vocals from the six-piece band.

Straight edge hardcore band Comeback Kid headlined a show at Rocketown in Pompano Beach on Jan. 6.
They were originally a supporting band but the headliner H2O, and a supporting band The Attack, dropped out of the line up last minute.
First opener, Go Rydell, played soon after doors open at 6:30 p.m. but the crowd improved one it was time for Casey Jones. It was only 9 p.m. by the time Comeback Kid started, who played for only 40 minutes, ending the all-ages show before 10 p.m.

Every Wednesday at the Funky Buddha Lounge in Boca Raton is Open Mic Night.
On Wednesday, Jan. 5, the sign-up list was full and the room was packed by 9pm.
The door fee of $3 was worth the price for a night of the comedic and musical talents of locals while enjoying something from Funky Buddha's extensive lists of beer, tea and shisha.

On New Years Eve in downtown West Palm Beach, Respectables, O'Shea's and The Lounge joined together to put on a night of amazing music to end 2010. The west end of Clematis street was blocked off and an outside stage was set up on the street. Many local favorites like Everymen, Viva Le Vox, The Sweet Darlings and many more performed on the main stage outside, and other bands also played on stages inside the bars.
Radio station WILD 95.5 did a live broadcast as the countdown drew closer, but instead of dropping a ball at midnight they dropped their DJ, Jason, to ring in the new year
